Without a ring he's behind Wade also. Though I think one ring would make him jump above Wade because Harden did it against the greatest team ever assembled and Lebron.

Getting above Kobe is a stretch. Kobe is a top ten player of all time. That would be insane. Harden would need two MVPs and at least two rings to be in the discussion.

I put him #2 just behind MJ already. I could listen to an argument for Wade over him, but I think at their respective peaks (assuming that Harden is currently at his peak) you take Harden over him every day of the week. Other than that, there's not a ton of competition at the SG position. If you consider Jerry West a SG instead of a PG maybe you bring him into the conversation then what? Clyde Drexler? Given the competition I don't think it's a stretch at all to consider Harden already the 2nd best SG of all time.....and unfortunately that's where he'll remain. He's got no chance of overtaking MJ.

Kobe isn't even in the conversation for reasons I've gone into multiple times.

What if he gets 1 ring then steals like 10 of his teammates rings from that year. He would have 11 rings, does this make him goat?

The Big 5 is great. MJ, Kobe, West, Wade, Drexler.

Harden's only glaring flaw currently is clutch ability. He can begin righting that wrong in one postseason. Besides that, his offensive game is possibly Top 5 in league history. He has #2 SG All-Time potential.

He's not. Harden has already had multiple seasons better than Kobe's best season ever. Just because he's one of the most overrated players in NBA history doesn't mean that he belongs in that conversation.

He was nothing more than an inefficient but flashy chucker.

I consider West to be a PG and Kobe isn't in the conversation since every player you listed, along with Harden is easily superior to Kobe.

He won two championships post-Shaq. I’m not by any means a Kobe fan, and I agree he was overrated relative to some of his peers, but come on, man.

    MJ
    Kobe
    Wade

Are the only SGs I put over Harden atm. That’s currently.

One ring and I put him over wade.

You give me 2 rings I’m starting to debate he’s better than Kobe but it wouldn’t happen because rings.

3+ and I put him over Kobe.

He really could end up being a top all time great player

Fair enough. Harden is more creative than any of the three above but those three had either killer instinct or ridiculous talent. Or both.

I think people underestimate Harden's South American alter ego Ginobody who did not have the numbers but was always clutch in 4th quarters and deep in the Playoffs.

Pau Gasol won two championships post Shaq. Adam Morrison won two championships post Shaq.

See how the "ringz" argument is kind of flawed? It doesn't change the fact that Harden has had multiple seasons better than the best Kobe ever was. In fact, Harden has only one season (his rookie season) where he was as inefficient as Kobe was at his most efficient. You are essentially rewarding Kobe for being on stacked teams since you don't have an argument for him as a player.

I always reallly really liked many (blasphemy I know) but being he sacrificed so much and came off the bench it really hurt his all time status
