You want to give our biggest rivals a defensive and efficient young scoring center which is their only weakness?

Or Draymond yeah, like you said, if Bell turns out to be really good that would make sense too.

Jordan Bell cannot do the things Green can do.

Klay Thompson is far away the most replaceable member of the big 4. They can replace him with a 3 and D guy like Courtney Lee and barely miss a beat.

While I agree with easily replacing klay I do not see gsw trading him or letting him go at all. He is one of the “splash brothers” he will be infinitely more remembered in fan lore and trading him would be much more detrimental to the fan base and locker room than losing “hot head” draymond. Who some fans blame for losing a title.

On top of that, it’s been stated multiple times that the only time curry went to management was to keep klay from being traded for love. They have a huge chemistry and that’s something you don’t want to lose.

As for bell not being able to do what draymond does, well duhhhhh....

He’s a rookie. Draymond couldn’t do what he does for years. He showed promise and potential and became who he did. Jordan is showing potential that he can become greens replacement in a couple years.

While I like Bell, thinking that just anybody can develop into a PF with super elite defense, 3 pt shooting, and 7 assists is selling Green extremely short. He's led the team in assists the last 3 years.

I understand that and I’m not selling him short he is their motor. What I’m saying is he will be the one let go in order to breath financially.

Btw greens 3pt shooting isn’t good. He did good 2years ago but it’s not a strength at all but it at least keeps defenses somewhat honest.

He is a decent passer from the front court but a lot is the motion system and how it’s ran in part through him.

That being said, bell does show flashes of becoming an elite defender. Probably not dpoy potential, but an adequate enough replacement.

Again, if I’m choosing I trade klay. But I’m not. The warriors, curry and that staff and locker room are. And imo it’s clear draymond is the one to go.

    I hope you are right.

Green/Curry/Durant will only be beat by boredom.

Thompson/Curry/Durant will wonder why in the hell the system isn't working as well.

I think draymond is extremely overrated.

If he were dropped into another team he wouldn't move the needle in a major way. Simply doesn't have the scoring punch.

But if you took him off the Warriors, it would be a near fatal blow. More so than any of the other guys. He is the absolute perfect player for that system and supporting cast. Curry, Thompson, and Durant could pick up scoring if one went down, nobody could assume Green's role.

Draymond is a very good player deserving of his contract and has my respect but these types of statements are why I think he is overrated.

If we played warriors in the playoffs then Id feel a lot more confident with steph or KD out injured rather than green out injured.

If I had the choice to pluck one player off the warriors before they play the rockets then it would definitely not be draymond.
