Not as many 3pt shots so higher fg% for his assists numbers.

Look I’m not trying to knock the guy. But comparing eras is difficult. While he was very athletic and gifted during his era, clearly watching film you could see he just isn’t as athletic and explosive as today’s players.

Flashback and the amount of athleticism he was displaying was dominate if you compared it to earlier generations. Which I assume, lots of people when Magic was playing said Cousy is clearly the better PG (lulz)

How is Magic not as athletic as Harden or Simmons? I'd say young/prime Magic was easily more athletic than both(though Harden did have a great vertical measurement-which he never seemed to use). Giannis as well in terms of straight speed and agility. Giannis is just freakishly long. No one is as big and strong and athletically gifted as LeBron though, so not really fair to compare Magic to that. LeBron is like the Shaq of perimeter players.

I think too many people seem to think about Magic and Larry as only last few years in the league versions of themselves. It happened with Jordan as well. Too many people only think of 2nd 3peat MJ and judge his entire career and athleticism based off that. Probably more to do with the availability of high quality footage being from their later careers.

With that one answer in that one AMA, Morey sowed the seeds of a CP3 arrival to Houston.

The man is playing chess while everyone else was playing with baby rattles.

There were many arguments had over who was better back in the day, between KG and Duncan. I honestly think if KG played his career for the spurs, the may have even more championships.

Yes he’s annoying as hell, but he was the only 7’1 PF that could keep up with small forwards, ever to my knowledge. Back when he was on the wolves.

Ralph Sampson was a 7'4 version of KG when KG was in elementary school.

I am going take a guy with 3 mvps and 5 rings. No one is putting cp3 as a top 10 player. Also Steph > cp3. Steph has basically changed the way we play basketball.People go cover him at the 3 point line rather than guard a layup.

This kind of claim is ridiculous and laughable for the whole NBA.
Morey also claimed Joey Dorsey or someone from bench as all star talent, so you figure.

Why is it ridiculous and laughable? Jordon, LeBron, Duncan, and Hakeem are all widely regarded as all time greats who had unbelievable performances at their peaks. Paul is the only guy in question here. But remember, he was talking about PEAK, not career. I am not surprised by that lineup at all. My only surprise is that Wilt was not there. But maybe statistical records weren't very complete in Wilt's days.

Again, Jeremy Lin's peak was so awesome we have a name for it.
