It was incredible and something I will remember for the rest of my life. Not only watching those games, but afterwards what it meant to this city, people would be honking their horns on the streets and when we won the championship, Richmond shut down and turned into an all night celebration but shockingly no riots and not really many people were arrested, at least I don't recall any widespread disturbances. I was only 20 at the time, in college and I lived one block away from Richmond off Westpark. I went out there with a broom after we won Game 4 of the Finals. Those memories are why in the NBA, the Rockets are my only team.
Aside from Westbrook taking too many shots, if Melo accepts less shots like this and PG is the main shooter they could be good.
They almost blew that game with Minny coming back late and within 3 with a couple chances to tie it. Adams had to have a perfect game and grabbed a couple crucial late offensive rebounds for them to ice the game, but they turned the corner!
Spurs without LA and they almost came back to win it. Their final 5 to close it were all a bunch of scrubs. OKC cant shoot.
Impressive win, Spurs are missing some guys but OKC is overcoming Patrick Patterson still being injured and ineffective.
hmmm, that sounds like something the might say about Westbrook, too. "Yes, WB is not as effective as he was last year, but that goes to show how key he really is."
Spurs literally played their G-league squad most of the entire second half. Westbrook keeps his stats padding routine, passing to tightly guarded teammates 8 out of the first 9 possessions in the 4th quarter. And after he finally got his 10th assist, he stop passing and bricked all his shots in the last three and half minutes. He even turned the ball over with 10 seconds left in the game, and left his man wide open in transition for three when his team only led by 3 points, sitting under the hoop for easy rebound. Russ's performance has been really ugly this season thus far.
