[Terrorism] Egyptian mosque attack leaves at least 184 dead

235 dead being reported as of now. It was a Sufi mosque. Followers of this sect of Islam are about as peaceful as they come. Two bombs exploded and these ******* terrorists were waiting to ambush helpers and victims outside with guns. Can't even begin to comprehend the level of brainwashing it would take to think something like this would be okay with whatever god you believe in.

 

Sad that no one cares about this in USA. If this attack took place in a Western nation it'd be all over the news. Horrific.

I was in Cairo for the first time this year. I was taken on a tour of one of the mosques there. The guy was pointing out the roof tiles saying they used to be gold. They were taken out and stolen in the last 10-15 years. There was also damage in several spots from an earthquake that had never been repaired.

Overall the city was in a bad state. I was also told tourism was down. A taxi driver told me the trips he made to the airport were at 20-30% of what they used to be.

Gun laws in Egypt are very strict, you have to provide detailed information on your relatives of first, second, and third degrees. Your security file must be clean, and you must provide proof of ownership of a piece of land or a commercial property, which you intend to protect using the firearms. How can such a horrific act happen?
