Fruit kolaches at Original Kolache Shoppe on telephone Rd. Maybe the best food ever.

Hummus and kafta kabob at Kasra
Salt and pepper lobster at Lucky Dragon. (Or any of a number of places in China Town). Also the toasted salted fish is like crack.
    Beef Ribs at Killens
Chicken fajita at El Tiempo. The beef is like anywhere else but the chicken is easily my favorite.
Regular Burger at Millers Cafe on Shepherd. Best burger of all time and it's not even close. Pretty sure it's a frozen patty and there's nothing special on it but everything put together is perfect.

Bread pudding at Killens is one of the best desserts of all time.

Bananas Foster at Landrys for myself. Many a time I'd go just for that.

Entrees I'm pretty simple. I've never had a bad Louisiana Chicken Pasta at Cheesecake or the Italian Combination at Lasagna House.

If we're using the wayback machine, then the prime rib or the peppercorn duck from the Rotisserie for Beef & Bird

The Big Ass Breakfast for dinner at Liberty Kitchen. Scrambled Eggs, bacon, biscuits, pancakes (I sub this for extra bacon), grits, hash browns, short rib omelet, greens...Not on the menu any longer but they'll still make it. The apple wood smoked bacon is puree worthy. Just ingested this weekend and high fived myself.

Bump... I tried to order this at Chuy’s but they had no idea what I was talking about. Anyone know of another spot in Houston with it on the menu?

Also, Chuy’s sucks. The jalapeño ranch dip is good af though.

With all the amazing texmex in Houston, why would anyone go to Chuy's, a place you can find anywhere in America

    Anyway some of mine:

    1) Dac Biet @ Pho Binh Trailer
    2) Fajitas @ Ninfa's on Navigation
    3) Campechana @ Goode Co. Seafood
    4) Wood Roasted Oysters @ Caracol
    5) Korean Braised Goat Dumlings @ Underbelly
    6) Sultan Kebob @ Istanbul Grill
    7) Pork + Pate Banh Mi @ Les Givrals

I will be trying this in the near future.
This is the only correct answer for CFS in Houston.

Why am I now seeing this thread for the first time? Dammit man

Fajitas at El Tiempo (carnitas and filet beef). Every time I come back to Houston, this is my only eating requirement.

If they still exist and still serve it, Ouissie's Table is the best CFS in the Greater Houston Metropolitan Area.

Pappy's on I-10 is my choice for CFS in Houston. Ouissie's is a close second. Haven't had Hickory Hollow in more than 10 years but the last couple times I had it... it was more focused on being large than being good.

Was that in reference to Ouissie's.

According to my sister, the new place the HS girls looooooove is Tiny Boxwood's on Alabama and Saint St....same type of River Oaksie vicinity...and a beautiful garden waiting area.

I didn't even know there was a Saint St -- or is it St. St.? -- until trying to find that place one night after a St. John's graduation ceremony. Actually, it was pretty decent. Tiny though. The french fries were stellar.
