Arian should be next and as soon as next year or two. Then unfortunately Cushing probably soon after, maybe even JJo in less than 5 years. So not so empty for so long I don't think.

Watch, they'll move the ring of honor ceremony to the end, to force fans to watch the undercard, err, game.

I honestly feel like Arian was a better football player than even Andre. Stats may not support it and this may be my @what take of the week, but Arian was so incredible in his prime.

    Arian is a tough call.

I say give it to him though.

5 years of All-Pro caliber performance is significant and increasingly rare for an RB.

Which is how it should be honestly. They shouldn't put just anyone in the ring of honor. The next person that belongs is either Foster or Cushing then the long wait till Watt is retired (hoping that's a long wait)

Then again, I wouldn't be against the idea of keeping it elite and having the next person in be Watt, skipping over the marginal candidates.

I don't think Cushing belongs. Arian yes, but Cushing hasn't done much due to injury. Of course not his fault, but if you put Cushing in there then you have to start looking at guys like Duane Brown(ew).

Cushing shouldn't get in. His first 3 years were great, then the injuries came on and steroids wore off.

Yeah that's why he's a marginal candidate. A lot of what he brought to the team after the injuries set in early in his career was being a leader on defense. He's like a DeMeco Ryans that stayed with the team. The steroids bit takes a lot of that shine away, but he's still a marginal candidate. Duane Brown isn't even in consideration at all with the way he turned into a cancer.

That's why I said that I'd be fine with skipping all of the marginal guys like Foster and Cushing and just waiting for Watt. I think if Foster was healthier then he'd be a slam dunk candidate but he was only healthy for 68 starts the 7 years he was here. By comparison Earl Campbell was only in Houston for 7 years, but he was healthy for 90 starts. In some ways, Foster was more productive than Cambell....he just couldn't stay healthy for long enough to make his case better.

Would not put these guys in:
Duane - I'm on the fence for Duane, this year really soured my opinion on him with the holdout.
Cush - the steroid use, and always being hurt and poor performance in recent years isn't good enough for me. He is my favorite Texan though.
Arian - While he was great when healthy, 4 years isn't good enough for me.

I'd rather this be a super exclusive group of Texans.

I agree you shouldn't be "honored" for being a steroid user. Also, Cushing hasn't been good in years.

Davis's resume included Super Bowl MVP, league MVP, and a 2000 yard season.

'Dre, JJ, and then (hopefully) JD and Watson. I pray this year's Texans performance is the down payment on 10 years of DaShow and at least one Super Bowl trophy.

I was thinking if the people voting Duane were doing it as a joke then realized the thread was created before his shenanigans.

Multiple votes are allowed? That's hilarious. Let Dre hold down the ring until Watts-induction.
