He escapes NY. Someone should take a chance on him. He really understands the game and has size at the 3. More athletic than you'd think.

Knicks cut him instead of Ramon Sessions, Jarrett Jack and Beasley who are making less money. That should tell you what his chances are of someone picking him up after clearing waivers.

That still doesn't mean Kyrie is some sort of defensive Juggernaut.

It means he's a decent defender and waaaaay better than IT, who was removed in late game situations last year by Brad Stevens.

It's why the Celts have improved their defense dramatically this year despite losing Avery Bradley and Jae Crowder. Posted the stats in the other thread. The story of the season after 14 games is the year over year defensive improvement of the Celtics. This is why they've won 12 straight despite multiple injuries.

For what it's worth, see this clip for a nice block on the Beard, and he posts up Klay Thompson too. Given time, Kuzminskas is a decent player. He's not Motiejunas. There's a work ethic here.

He'll be a good pickup. Apparently they kept session over him because Jarret Jack is out

The other thing is the Knicks have an idiotic coaching staff so there is a higher than normal likelihood that a good young player's development would stall and his talent buried during his time there.

This guy seems like a decent project to take on. Needs to put on muscle and become a backup PF.
