Not good enough. He should be shooting a minimum FG% of 1.00.

No way, Morey isn’t stupid. Like I said before finding everything Capela brings isn’t as easy as it seems.

I'm happy with Clint. I just wishes he had more touch on his none dunks. He should be shooting close to 60% or better every year with the type of shot seclection he has. I guess I just wish he was more savvy like Nene around the rim and had his touch.

His touch is actually pretty damn good around the hoop with either hand.

I don't really know what more to expect from him offensively other than maybe developing at pick and pop mid range jumper from 15-18ft.

I just want to see him continue to be a madman on defense like he has been the last few games. He seems to be trying to block everything and just chasing ppl down if they get past him.

His D has really improved and he's one of the best rebounders in the league.

He's a stud I can't wait to see him play the warriors. That will be the test on if he can really be the game changer we need him to be in order to break through and get past them.

I have believed in him since that series against the Warriors in his rookie year, but was concerned that he could be TJones v2.0...i.e. a guy who's offensive numbers are solely based on what other guys create for him and is a subpar defender except for some flashy blocks.

Happy to be wrong. He is emerging as the next prototype defensive center. He's not KAT or Jokic on the offensive end, but he's an inifinitley better defender than either and gets what he needs to do on offense.

He shot 64.3% overall last year and is shooting 69.6% this year.

In terms of touch around the rim, he's getting there. This year, Clint's shooting 60% at the rim on non-dunk attempts. Nene's at 57.1%. Last year they were at 58.8% and 64.1%, respectively.

    Agreed.

He is not doing much more than Howard could have done
but Howard DID NOT WANT TO DO IT
Can he be replaced maybe .. . but will someone be willing to know his role
    I don't know

    No question Capela has improved.
No question he's a product of the system.

Capela has been great this season so far. If he can stay on the floor longer without losing efficiency that would be the next step. His rebounding and shot blocking has greatly improved and of course the biggest improvement is his FT %. What probably could be one of his biggest assets though is his humility. He understands what his role on the team is and plays it perfectly. He doesn't try to create his own shot too often and is attacking the rim on his pick and rolls. He is improving his stamina and getting better and probably will attract a ton of interest this offseason.

he is not replaceable. his help defense is the same as a small forward or two guard with good defense. he is able to rotate to the open 3 point shooter on the perimeter like very few centers can do. his offensive rebounding is not a product of the system. Even if a center can do what capella does on the offense end of the floor in the pick and roll. how many can do that, along with the other stuff....

He is making gradual improvement on offense, that is due to his own effort, rather than the system. Nevertheless, Harden does make him look better due to the P/R. On rebounding, and shot blocking/ FT's he has made appreciable gains. No one can make you a better defender, apart from yourself. He still has to improve his skill set on offense, and consolidate his defensive gains.

He won't be a star, but he can prove to be a solid contributor for the Rockets for many years if he gets stronger, without losing quickness.
