We need to use a late pick on the most athletic, most successful, small school qb out there. Savage cannot be on the roster in 2018.
It's amazing how easy it is to see how below average Savage is once we've seen a competent QB in his place... And not just Savage but also Fitzhoymalteejayweiler. Man our QBs have been isht.
You get what you invest into it, which was pennies. All were bottom of the barrel/last-girls-in-the-bar-at-closing-time quality additions.
This was in comparison to Brock. No way he should have started in front of Watson. Screw the rookie crap. I feel the NFL is far behind the other sports in anaytics it's crazy. It's the good ole boys club with the same old same old.
I don't have a problem with them (outside of Osweiler). We were treading water until we had an opportunity to take a QB worth investing in. Yeah, we could've taken Carr or Garoppolo, but (injury aside) aren't you glad we ended up Watson? It took 3 years to get him, but it's better than trying to make it work with Blake Bortles, Teddy Bridgewater, Johnny Manziel, Paxton Lynch, or Christian Hackenburg, the supposed top guys we were in a position to draft. Like it or not, being non-committal at QB and instead going with guys like Fitz and Hoyer are how we ended up with Watson.
Reviewing the all-22, one more game and it might be Yates/McGloin time. Everything Savage does is too slow. From getting the play called to getting to the LOS to getting players lined up to presnap reads to getting the ball hiked to postsnap reads to route anticipation to decision-to-throw-to-release time. Didn't see the open guys, didn't hit open guys. Played like a 5th round QB.
After 3 years in the Texans system, and against a helpless Indy team, this was the BEST Tom Savage can do, not sure if this is a Savage problem or a O’Brien problem? Either one of them needs to go or both need to go.
