Wtf, what happened to James Andrews? I'm not cool with this. Bagwell was supposed to get his shoulder fix by Andrews, at the last minute the team doctor did it and he was never the same. T-Mac was going to have Andrews do his knee and shoulder surgeries but then the team opted to have team doctor do it and a couple of months later he needed microfracture surgery. Andrews did Adrian Peterson's acl and mcl surgery in December 2011 and he was back running full speed in March and then went on to have a record breaking MVP season. I would rather have Andrews do the surgery, he also does all the surgeries for wwe and ufc. Seth Rollins had acl and mcl surgery performed by the Andrews team and was back in six months, flipping off **** and doing ring dives so far no complications

Bad idea to go second rate surgeon on the next great QB.

Um...Andrews has done many procedures that haven’t worked out so well for athletes.

Lowe is not a second rate surgerion.

ACL surgery should be a routine procedure for any orthopedic surgeon, let alone Walt Lowe, who seems to be a good doctor by all accounts.

I think I'd rather watch Watson rehab and study film than watch this offense without him. which is crazy, because I was willing to give savage a shot.

I wasn't pleased with my experience there, hindsight being 20-20 and all.

eta: I'm fairly certain that the pro athletes get a bit more attention than us regular folks do.

Not saying he's perfect....every surgeon in the world will have patients that have poor experiences....but amongst orthopedic surgeons, I dont believe he's seen as a second rate surgeon.

Oh not at all, but for us regulars, it was more of an assembly-line thing. I watched the video of the OR and he had 8 patients going at the same time, with his "2nd/3rd in command" doing much of the stuff.

My beef was more with the pre-surgery consultations and the recommendations of surgery type.
