Welcome to 3 and 13 season

This was the easiest team on the schedule at home no less and they lost

Wow, that top 5 pick is still worth it for Watson.

    Who doesn’t agree?

You cannot argue he wasn’t worth moving up to get. He would and should have been the 1st pick

Well look at it like this. We got Foreman in the 3rd so it can't be that bad.

As long as he stays healthy and comes back at a high level then he's absolutely worth what we paid for him. It's not gonna make the next several months any easier to watch.

Whoa!! Nothing like Cushing. He’s more like Sam Dekker. Never showed any promise but a game or two.

We do have two 3rds 2018 draft and two 2nds 2019.

I think if there is a player we really really need in the 2nd we could make a move for them. We'll be alright as long as Watson is healthy, but that's the case for every team that has an elite QB.

Could get another 3rd as a compensatory pick for Bouye. But think we need to make a move if a guy we want is available. Can't wait until the 3rd to add talent.

With those two 3rd round picks they could get a good OL and DB.

Well that is my point, they suck because injuries hit them hard, but on the down side the other two points I made were that we have an ownership who is not bright and not ambitious.

We have management who are pretty much clueless, and we don’t have draft picks to show for it. Oh by the way who have done a bad job at drafting in the lower rounds. Dumb decision one after the other when it comes to free agency.

They just can’t get their crap together, when the defense is good, the offense is bad, when the offense is good, the defense gets bad. It’s been like this from day one with this franchise. That my friends is a recipe for disaster.

Forgot all about that, having 3 3rd round picks makes up for having no 2nd round pick. Having Watson makes up for having no 1st round pick, we'll be alright.

I'm not saying we should trade our picks, just that if the Texans do see someone that they feel will really help our team in the 2nd that we have the assets to move up and get them.

Sometimes, trading up is necessary, especially if you really feel like that one guy is going to be a big-time prospect.

I get that as being a good move but judging by how they did in this past draft I'm guessing they could hit on one of those picks or both. There are still very good linemen and d backs in the 3rd round. Plus with another possible compensatory pick, I'm starting to think they should look to load up on more 3rd founders in this draft. It would be easier and more logical to do than giving away multiple 3rds to get a middle 2nd. Plus I bet you could get the same or better player in the 3rd than you would in the 2nd. With 2-3 more the Texans could close up the gaps in the line and straighten out the DBs. Maybe even a TE or WR that slips.

Trying to find the silver lining with a bad team and no draft picks in the first 2 rounds....at least it could earn us a last place schedule. With Watson coming back next season, that could be huge.

I don't see how you can blame BOB other than hes just part of the FO. Literally had the highest scoring offense over the past 5 games and change out one single player whom BOB schemed perfectly with. Savage can't do anything.

Yeah but is that really an excuse? Watson was playing at an elite level, so are we saying that BOB needs an elite QB in order to have an offense that is competent?

Because he is now back to the boring scheme that made me this team a perennial bottom 10 offense

I initially read this wrong and thought you were saying we shouldnt have wasted the pick because we now don't have one. But holy **** I would totally do it all again if it meant Watson, best offensive player in that draft and at the most important position too.

Who said elite? How about competent qb for competent offense. Nothing about Savage was competent yesterday. Even his TD throw was 90% Hopkins being a straight up baller.

What would you have him scheme for Savage? I guess maybe quick throws because Savage just stands there? but damn he couldn't even throw an accurate slant. Only reason there were no INTs is because the colts are terrible.
