1. Houston Rockets 2017-18 record: 3-0 Previous ranking: 3 Chris Paul will likely miss two to four weeks while he recovers from a bruised left knee. In a very limited sample (33 minutes), the Rockets have been outscored by 20.8 points per 100 possessions with Paul on the court. On the flip side, they have outscored their opponents by 13.3 points per 100 possessions with him on the bench. -- Jose De Leon http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...ings-our-expert-panel-unveils-rankings-week-2
What a dumbass stat to list. Yeah, let's make conclusions off of CP3 playing 33 minutes with a bum knee against the Warriors.
We have to put them at #1, but we HAVE to say something bad about them also to keep the agenda in order.
yeah, really. The stat should be, if anything, GSW outsccored Rockets by 20 per 100 in the season opener when Paul was on the court....hobbled. Why not say, "Paul lead a 10-0 run to start the 4th against GSW, showing glimpses of how the Rockets have improved when Harden sits to start the 4th." Why not say, "The Rockets new emphasis on defense showed in their 4th Q comeback against the defending champions on their ring ceremony night. When Paul comes back, they should be even stronger."
Seriously, gotta push their narratives. CP3/Harden are a terrible fit together. Meanwhile, look at OKC's writeup. Russ is so unselfish and his new teammates are so clutch! (Never mind the fact that they lost the game).
At least they are number 1....going to enjoy that while I can! Write ups could be 20X better though.....#missingyouMarcStein
^^ basically. lol they could have done worse and put us at #2 or 3 because of their stupid perception of CP3
Similar to the post game show after the GSW win... "Rockets won, but they showed tonight why they cant beat GSW"
Week 12 1. Sigh, Houston Rockets Houston keeps winning, hope is not yet lost that Harden and Paul will not work out. In the last game Harden missed a free throw and Houston only hit 20 threes. Will continue to look for weakness and hoping for a couple of losse so I can put them behind the Phoenix Suns.
