It was smart of them to put him on the temporary IR because multiple serious concussions as quickly as he got them is something that can screw him up long term and he's set to be one hell of a weapon when he comes back. It's awesome seeing what Watson has done without one of his best targets.
No more temporary IR designation, you can activate up to 2 players from IR after 8 weeks from when they go on it. Still smart of them to do that and open up a roster spot.
Well it still is temporary IR, you just don't have to declare them anymore. What I was talking about was that it was smart to give him the 8 weeks to try and get completely over the concussion issues rather than bringing him back as soon as he gets through the protocol and risking yet another concussion.
That's actually good news to me, I thought for some reason that it was an Achilles and assumed he was done for the year.
