Cannot stop laughing about how Austin Jackson basically decided to end the Indians season by not running to first. With all of the Yankees running to the mound to celebrate he would've made it easily and the tying run comes to the plate. LOL

Man, the best part about playing the Yankees.. Can you imagine the media trying to still hate on Houston after they win? This is going to be a lot like the Boston series where the announcers are enamored with the other team, would love to shove it in their face.

 

I just realized today that if the Cubs win tonight, the final four teams in this playoffs are from the four largest cities/markets in the USA: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, & Houston. I believe it does not happen here before in any of the Pro Sports Leagues in America (MLB, NFL, NBA, MLS, NHL, etc.) but it could happen tonight.

 

Houston isn't the 4th largest market, just city, but still cool.

 

True... but they did make the jump to 7th in terms of media market size... which is the highest its ever been.

They're still behind DC, so they'd represent the "smallest" media market of the teams left in the post-season (and definitely the market with the lowest local team TV ratings, based on 2017 regular season numbers).

If the Cubs hold on, would the ACLS and NLCS have the most dense metro areas and tv markets combined ever for that round?

It would be #1, #2, #3, and #5 in metro and #1, #2, #3, and #8 in tv market. Has to be close. TV networks dream.
