I think so, albeit I'm not sure on all the comp picks trickery. But if you manage to acquire a 3rd from Seattle after conditions plus the compensation 3rd and our own 3rd. That absolutely helps out losing out on our 1st and 2nd.
I'm not sure he would. Given that he'll have already missed at least half a season due to being an idiot and his age, I doubt he'd be getting any offers for even what he makes now. Keeping him for another year at his current salary (assuming he showed up to collect it) would be doing him a favor.
How has this not resolves somehow? What a ridiculous situation. Trade him, it's a sunk cost at this point. Better to get something than nothing
He gets between 5-10 snaps a game. Not carries, snaps. OBrien doesn't trust him at all. Won't even give him short yardage carries.
At this point I would take almost anything from Duane... I respect his decision and right to holdout because I think NFL players should try and milk it for everything they can. But as a team I don't know if you can expect him to come in 8 weeks into the season and be solid so I think we should really think about taking whatever we can get for him because we don't have the luxury of holding on to dead assets.
Trading deadline falls on halloween, 4pm. Expect a trade to be made by then but if not, there won't be a trade. :Sauces close to me: 1 1/2 yard line!
It'll be very interesting to see how both sides play things if he isn't traded. Will Brown come in motivated and play for his inevitable contract negotiation this summer or be hesitant and not want to risk injury? Will the Texans trust him to protect Watson? Can they afford to keep him on the bench in place of Clark? But I agree, get what you can and move on.
Look at Rick Smith draft record, I would be happy if he can land 5th or below. For some reason, Smith just suck at drafting from 2nd to 3rd round.
That’d be huge for Deshaun but we just extended C.J. so I don’t know why they would do that. I think he’s a FA after this year too.
