A few thoughts from being at the game: Watt's injury just was a huge downer for the crowd I am floored by Cole and Cunningham. Those guys are legit. Speed to the edges. Clowney looked mediocre out there. There was one time I remember he came unblocked off the edge and didn't even come close to Smith. Going for it on 4th and 5 needed to happen. They were down 12, the D couldn't stop a snail, and Watson was starting to get the offense moving a bit. The punt return on the 4th and 5 punt was the nail. That's what made it suck more was that there was a bit of hope, and then it was gone so quickly. Watson. Holy cow. In the 1st half it seemed like he was over his head due to pitiful line play. In the 2nd, he adjusted. On the Fuller TD, the play was supposed to go to Hop (the direction I was sitting), and he saw that Hop was covered, so he didn't make a bad throw, moved around, found Fuller. TD. This guy is good and is only going to get better. The two biggest weakness live were simple. O line and secondary. That's going to get you piles of losses. And possibly get Watson killed. As I told my friend last night after the game, you can have all the weapons you want, but if you don't have an o line, you're not going to do anything. And the secondary. Torched like a 3 week old Christmas tree. Basically, anyone who has any sort of talent on defense or o line needs to be brought in and signed. Or have the pulses checked of the guys here.
If healthy, give me Houston over Mario. He absolutely mailed it in the last 3 seasons. Freeney would be interesting which is pretty amazing at 37. Revis is done.
I grew up in Wisconsin. The Pack is my first love. Rodgers is special. Mobility and pinpoint accuracy. He's done it for years. I can see Watson being that way Dow the road.
using the pats as example because of b.o.b and I used the example last season but here it goes again, the 2004 Pats, ranked 9th, only had 2 pro bowlers in that defense, Seymour and Bruschi. We have Clowney a freakier Seymour. the way clowney plays when his hand is down is something to behold . Our strengths are Mlbs, I thought Mckinney was snubbed of a probowl last season. Cunningham is the real deal and Cole has phenomenal instincts to the ball, he's a taunting penalty waiting to happen. Unlike that NE team our dbs are getting fooled by schemes even with watt and merciless. That's coaching. They have to be coached better, john. no excuses for not knowing who is covering X. Only the cowboys, patriots, colts, titans have given up more points than our texans.
Rockets forum is all anticipation. Astros forim is all pure excitement. This forum is just depressing
I got called fake for saying I see this team going 6-10, regardless of how great Watson is (which he has def been)
Marcus Williams had 6 picks 2 years ago. Rick cut him 4 years ago. Hopefully he can help out that secondary.
