    I'm already omitting Watson's 5 TD's.

chiefs did what was expected. to win.

watson just continued to show what we already thought from last week, which was that he is talented.

the watt injury might be the final chapter on an all-time great player and brings up a lot of questions on what to do with him moving forward. gonnabe hard to justify paying him all that money if he's going to be a shell of himself.

    Watt.

The Chiefs remaining undefeated is big. They have a great team.

Watson's play has been huge. The kid is looking really good already. He may make the Pro Bowl as a rookie - not that that means much anymore. What he's doing is great.

But without Watt, and potentially Mercilus, this team's defense becomes borderline average, which makes it difficult to win games even with Watson slinging five TDs a night.

Chiefs let Watson get those last few tds. Nobody celebrates stats when your team loses.

This. Feel for JJ but even with him this defense has not been impressive at all this year. This defense is one of the worse in franchise history.

I think it's Watsons 5 touchdowns. After last week I felt the media, and especially Texans fans were too quick to deem Watson our first true franchise QB.

    It was just one game.

This week he takes all that media talk, all that Houston hype, and backs it up. He made amazing plays all night long. He converted on several beautiful deep balls for touchdowns, including a ball thrown perfectly to Fuller right as he evaded a sack.

This game gives serious legitimacy to Watson's status as Houston's first ever star quarterback.

Next man up! Dylan Cole has been showing some flashes in the last couple of games.

I hate to do this but, JJ Watt's contract was a discount at 6 years 100 mil when he was healthy, but now... ugh. When do we start consider looking at his contract value the way Tony Boselli was made available for the expansion draft by the Jags?

Mercilus being hurt may be worse.

I find it funny that Watt's injury is leading the poll handily, yet there are 10 or so frontpage threads on DeShaun and zero on Watt (until the injury).

I don't know which is a bigger story, but I am more inspired by DeShaun backing up his performance last week than I am disheartened by the loss of Watt.

Watson stats were clearly padded. We knew we weren’t winning before the last two tds. Having JJ hurt again is huge. What if he loses his confidence now? He’s owed a lot of money still.

It was two games. Now 3 games.

OK, he had the 49-yard run against Cincinnati. Folks were (cautiously) excited.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Had his coming out game against New England. (Toe to toe with Tommy)
    Followed up vs Tennessee/scoring 57
Did it again this week (even if a few were in "garbage time")

    To be more specific.

    Our secondary is a joke.

Don't get me wrong JJ's injury is a big deal. As far as regaining confidence, we are talking about JJ freaking Watt. If this was a reinjury of the back I would be truly concerned about long term impact. From what I have heard so far recovery for this knee injury can take several weeks to several months so possibly out for the season.

That said, padded or not, DeShaun had 5 touchdowns in the 4th and fifth games of his career! For years in Houston, even before the JJ Watt days, the Texans narrative has always been "if we only had a QB."

    We have a quarterback.

From a team success standpoint, Watson is more important to the Texans than Watt is. That's why I'm going to vote for Watson 5 TDs. We didn't really miss Watt last year and this year he had zero sacks. Face it, Watt isn't the same player anymore and he will never be again.

We already know we have a qb. And even the toughest player loses confidence after a few injuries. Especially when you see them cry on national tv. Even Kuechly lost it for awhile.
