Maybe your friends don't. You must have missed all the Titans, their coaches, and staff who all had their hands over their hearts. Yes, even some football players show a sign of respect the way they should. Anyway, just because I don't respect them doesn't give you a right to be ugly to me. Respect them all you want. Maybe you look up to guys like that.
I wouldn’t say I’m being ugly but Deb is definitely not understanding the purpose of these protest. All Deb wants to say is ‘I don’t respect them’ without knowing the cause. I guess Deb believes everyone should be fired too just like that ‘other guy’. I’m not the only one that went after Deb but Deb decided to respond to me. Sad thing is, I’m very knowledgeable on this situation because I know why they are doing it. Now, I wouldn’t kneel but I would raise my fist. I don’t see anything wrong with it. It’s a lot better than holding confederate and nazi flags.

It seems like you are intolerant of people who don't view things the way you do. Given your post it doesn't seem like you are a tolerant person overall.
I don't look up to kids 1/2 my age. I have respect for people that stand up for things they believe in, regardless of the setting. If you think they're protesting the flag or the song still at this point, no one is going to change your mind. But you're still watching...aren't you? You're still commenting. If you really cared, you wouldn't have watched last week and you wouldn't be here now. You're just parroting talking points that were nonsense to begin with. I can't tell what's more dumb...whining about the players protesting and watching the games anyway or thinking that they're shooting up in the middle of games.
The dumbest thing might be that people still think that this has anything to do with the military or the flag. But more importantly, this topic has no place in this subforum.

The confederacy represented the want of states to have the rights to enslave black people. The nazis tried killing a lot of Jews... Like a LOT. So to equate those to raising a fist seems a bit out of touch with reality. I hate posting about politics but I wouldn't want anyone outside of Houston visiting our site to think we are ALL narrow minded like that.
