Should’ve been the plan on the 3rd and 1 play before the last FG. If Deshaun pulls it there’s a chance for him to score, defense was sold on the inside run. At minimum he gets 2-3 yards and the first.

As piss poor as he was at RG last year, he’s a natural LG and looks like that’s what he’ll be playing with mancz holding down the RG spot. That’s give me hope that he’ll play better but I’m not holding my breath. It does also means less XSF and less is more.

Don't kid yourself. He will be back at LG, XSF at RG, and Mancz back on the bench. BoB loves him some overpaid and overdrafted Allen and XSF.

You mean like when Mancz was better than Allen and XSF last year and then this year they are both ahead of him because Martin came back? Mancz isn't even great but he has been a noticeable improvement over Allen the last two games. We will see but I am not holding my breath.

Titans have been a 2nd half team this year, meaning they wear you down and then punish late. Texans will need to get the lead early before Teennessee starts rolling down hill. Biggest game of the season.

Yup. The Titans have also started slow for whatever reason so we need to find points quick and early.

    • The Texans have used a lot of condensed formations with Deshaun Watson. In other words, receivers are lining up close to the offensive tackles, as opposed to out wide. Bill O’Brien did this 20 times against New England, 14 of which were passes. The formation’s compactness sets up rub routes and switch releases for receivers, and creates more field to attack on out-breaking routes. But condensed formations also cluster the defense, making it easier to disguise coverage and pressure. Some coaches are reluctant to put young QBs in this situation. No defense does more with disguised pressure than the Titans, who Watson faces Sunday. It’ll be interesting to see how O’Brien’s men line up.
    • It’s been very apparent that Watson will target DeAndre Hopkins in tight windows. That’s important; Hopkins is an elite contested-catch artist who does not separate. A Texans quarterback must be willing to throw when he’s covered.

Sounds to me more so that BoB trust his QB to read coverage.
