I don't want to pass judgement on Vrabel so early, but the shoe seems to fit. Hopefully the defense bounces back on Thursday. Not trying to make excuses, but the combination of Harvey and missing the last preseason game may have knocked the team off track.
Yeah BECAUSE Kevin Johnson made dumb penalties!!! If he didn't do that, the defense would have stop that touchdown. The secondary was garbage.
Well, I am not disagreeing that Kevin Johnson made mistakes, but if it wasn't for a lot of our secondary players no tackles would have been made. The front line sure wasn't stopping the run or getting to anyone.
I'm not nearly as worried about the defense (even with a poor showing yesterday) as the offense. The simple reason for that line of thinking is that we've got talent on the defensive side of the ball. This is undeniable. There is hardly any talent on the offensive side of the ball. I expect them to play better going forward.
Miss me yet? "Brien" doesn't make the picks, Rick does. And Rick decides which players are on the 53 man roster.
We have an undrafted FA and 7th rounder as our starting safeties, our 3rd CB was out of a job one week ago. The coaching staff has an issue but the talent in our secondary is ridiculously bad.
Banks was signed off the street the week before the game... everyone knew Brady was going to take him to school and he took his ass back to kindergarten.
Rick Smith's inability to address the safety position for like the 5th year in a row is what's biting us in the ass right now. I miss the days of Glover Quin and Danieal Manning.
