It won't be Wade or Harbaugh or Vrabel or Kubiak or anybody else who has/will/might question Rick's competence.

You'll get a marginal quality, yes-man "Rick's the greatest" type head coach in the vein of Jimmy Raye III.

Uncle Rick keeps cashing those paychecks. You are paying him.

Plus kubes took the qb he wanted, Peyton, when either McNair or kubes didn't want him in Houston

I do think that part of it was how little the Texans played in preseason. It seems like they are doing less and less every offseason to get ready to play. Back when we had more competent coaching, all of the starters would play one quarter in the first game, 2 quarters in the 2nd game and 3 quarters in the 3rd game. This preseason our starters barely played at all.

I agree. We suck. But how is Vrabel the answer? He is inexperienced, and HIS defense (which was supposedly very good) looked awful.

How can you watch yesterday's game and come to the conclusion that anyone on the Texans current staff needs a promotion?!

Won't matter if The Sycophant remains.

Need a FULL regime change before it even matters.

Bob won't coach in the NFL. He's a college style coach. His head case decisions he makes in the spur of the moment etc. I don't see him getting a gig next year.

Seriously what would he get hired for?

    He doesn't know defense

    He's a terrible OC

    He screws with QBs heads

He can't recognize talent to be a GM

The players know how to play on defense. They held for most of the first half but the offense kept turning the ball over. Mercilus, Watt, Clowney, didn't all of a sudden just forget how to play.

I didn't say Vrabel is the answer. But McNair will hire him because he looks like a head coach and he's all rah-rah.

    Ah,

In terms of the Texans front office and ownership being stunningly inept, we agree.

    So, #Vrabel 18'

I think teams would be willing to give a coach that has had 3 consecutive 9-7 seasons another chance if he wants to come back to the NFL. Would be interesting to see how he would do if given a good QB like with the Colts.

    Re-tread failures?

Have you seen the Seahawks offense this year and how much Wilson has regressed?

They have to hope/pray somehow that Gruden, Harbaugh, or some other past successful coach magically becomes available. Anything else is a lateral move.
