That my friend is a good find.

Many centers in the NFL call our protections for the QB.

Tackles have to read blitz assignments on the edge and watch for twist.

Deciding to move in a different direction, a look at the Texans new offensive line:

Said Bill O'Brien: We thought we'd just mix things up and try something new. We wish those other guys the best. But I really love this group. They work as one, they're all in sync with each other, they work hard and a fun group of guys to coach. I'm looking forward to seeing how they hold up Sunday vs. New England and beyond.

Somebody said Reid was in the 30s while our OTs/OGs are in the 20s with 90s being very good.

Jimmy Raye III is killing it.

He played two games as a guard against the Texans and Patriots and played well.

I am hoping they play him RG and move Mancz to LG. It may sure up the middle. The tackle situation is still disgusting.

i've been saying this and everyone just wants to ignore and blame lack of talent. so far the overall poor OL play is not a talent issue, it's communication. we have a rookie C, new RT and LT, G shuffles, basically a lot of turnover and they haven't figured it out yet.

Well, it doesn't help the fan base when people are releasing quick vids of XSF and Allen getting trucked in one on ones for the sack.

But yes, the biggest reason for the sacks is relegated to lack of communication between the tackles and guards.

Geno Atkins sack on Deshaun was disgustingly bad communication by the LT and LG.

Well, that is interesting. You would think the skill players have the higher scores.

Didn't Jah Reid play against JJ last year or year before and do an OK job? Seems like I remember him not being totally overwhelmed. We need some guys that can play and are relentless.

Playoff game against KC that we got obliterated.

To be fair, I want to say that JJ had an injury to pretty much every limb on his body.

Yeah, your right. Right now I'll take anyone that can add some toughness and size to the OL. We're getting pushed around way too much and our short yardage offense looks like poo poo platter.

So what's the status on Jeff Allen? Will he play against the Patriots?

The problem would be close to getting solved if we got Duane Brown back.

    Brown left tackle
    Reed left guard
    Martin center
    Mancz right guard
    Clark right tackle

    Just roll with that.

Reid and Clark are both terrible. Mancz hasn't played guard much

This isn't a problem that is anywhere close to being solved. The Texans need multiple changes on the line with multiple talent upgrades. There are not a lot of trades in the NFL, but with no #1 or #2 the Texans get zero benefit losing this season. They ought to consider dealing for a couple stop gaps on the line. We have no idea what kind of shape Brown is in either. What can't be lost in all this is that there is ZERO chance that O'Brien didn't know the line was garbage. If he didn't know then that is even worse. The level of incompetence is staggering. There really is no excuse for it. There were offensive linemen in free agency and via trade.

I think they rather run block and pass block .. .
Run blocking you can punish . .. pass blocking you just take a beating
