    The warriors getting 60 million because they have kd and steph is so beyond ridiculous.

    I swear, after Gasol and Conley are gone, I'm done with the nba. I see no point in it no more.

    Quit make up fake news, because you think you are mad. It is part of revenue sharing....just like local TV and tickets

    Sponsorships are part of BRI. Everything that is BRI goes into the revenue sharing pool.

    What kind of stupid socialism crap is this? Do you want NBA to share concession stand revenue too??? More fat people eat in Minnestoa than skinny people at Clippers game and more drunks. So Minnestoa needs to share with Los Angeles because they have more fatties and drunks?

    I foresee myself becoming a bandwagon fan in the near future. The only players I care about are Marc and Mike. It was similar to when Hakeem left the rockets. I was without a team for a long while. Never cared for cat and steve francis.

    I am not usually one to wish injuries upon athletes but this is for the greater good

    Maybe a prolonged hold out over a political cause and their cut?

    You're already there. You didn't like some players, so you jumped from the Rockets bandwagon to the Griz bandwagon. I think that's bandwagon by the simple definition.

    Even Golden State's $20 million-per-year deal (reported by ESPN last week) to wear jersey patches from Rakuten, easily the league's largest such deal so far, has a small impact on the overall salary cap. (The Warriors keep only 25 percent of that money; half goes to the players and 25 percent is shared with the other teams.)​

    What brah...time to accept it, superteams help the NBA.

    It's just like Soccer, the casual fans love super teams. The Casual fan doesn't have the desire to learn about all 30 teams, their attention span is about 3 teams long. I know a ton of these fans, they don't give a flip about the Grizzlies, the Jazz, etc etc. It's all about Cleveland and the Warriors, every other team for them is just a side character to fuel that rivalry.

    Just how it is.

    Basically, the BRI split between union and owners is 50/50. So owners always give half of everything to the players via contacts or an extra check at end of year is salaries are below their agreed upon BRI split.

    After that, the owners split is subject to revenue sharing. It is more complicated than that 25/25 split mentioned in the quote. But yeah, obviously the team who made the sell gets the biggest share...just like they should for ticket sales.

    you are confusing revenue sharing for things like national broadcast rights sold by the league, and the Nike swoosh on jerseys sold by the league (which are evenly divided) with team-specific jersey patches sold by the team...

    Revenue sharing for local sales (tickets, concessions, local ad revenue, patches, local TV) is not a pure communist economy where everything is split evenly, as that would drive down motivation and incentive to produce.
