Tony Romo might literally die if he had to play behind the current O line. Hell he couldn't stay healthy behind the best O line in the league. Wasting picks on trading for him would have been absolutely the dumbest thing possible.

I agreed with the move then - but they didn't use the money and that second pick is going to have tremendous value. That Osweiler deal..... man.........

Wrong. Romo wasn't traded or cut because he was deciding whether to retire. Have you read any of his interviews? It turned out that the Cowboys were doing him a favor by not cutting him or trading him until he decided. He was looking at teams and comparing that to retirement and ultimately chose retirement.
lol @ wanting to sign or trade for Romo. Maybe Yao Ming can come out of retirement and play quarterback, and maybe we can sign Yu Darvish at tight end.
There's no saying Romo wouldn't have retired anyway, we wouldn't have had the cap for him if we kept Brock, and Romo would have been forced to retire after the first game because of the trash line. Let's move on to the next tired, worn out narrative. I'm sure there are plenty more dead horses to beat.
