As an aside: posting this stuff is actually hurting people, real people. This is not a game. Every bit of bs you post and forward and etc... someone reads, someone forwards, someone might take it as truth, someone might die. Just turn your twitter off for a while. Please.
I had to click "see ignored content" to see that you're actually asking a Russian troll to care about American lives. He knows exactly what he's doing, has been called out hundreds of times since he joined exactly when the Russians sent thousands of trolls into our online communities, and keeps doing it, and will keep doing it. The more people put him on ignore, the better.
I know. You know. Most of us know. I just had to say it once again this time, maybe the powers that be will know it too. At some point it's not just internet bbs ***** and giggles anymore, it's real life.
Tim Duncan launches campaign to help the Virgin Islands. https://www.theplayerstribune.com/tim-duncan-hurricane-irma-us-virgin-islands/
Maybe the crew could confine him (RussiaLegend, not Duncan) to D&D. Trying to spread fear and hatred in a hurricane thread is pretty low, even for a Putie troll.
So Sarasota area made it through pretty much unscathed, all things considered. 60% of people have no power, but the damage was pretty much what you'd expect: trees down, stuff blown all over the place, but no flooding or anything. Also, I guess HP was slacking, but 2 cranes collapsed in downtown Miami, why no video?
The first one I posted was not a Miami crane, but old gif of China...kudos to @Dr of Dunk for pointing it out. I guess someone rushed that out to twitter to be first crane collapse tweet. I deleted the tweet and got gun shy after that ... embarrassed I posted a fake news crane without confirming whether it was one of the real ones. Still can't find a vid of them in motion or mid collapse. I guess the spinning one was faked, because there was no action one captured.
Was without power most of the day, but good now. My FIL in Orlando is without power for the 2nd straight day, but otherwise good.
The recovery from the storms is going to take month and possibly years. We also have two more months of hurricane season.
Glad to hear! A couple friends and coworkers were telling me its hit and miss in Orlando with a lot of individual houses out. I am up in Lake Mary and only lost power a few times for a couple minutes during the storm. Im ready for things to return to normal.
I just got power back two days ago, but work in what seems like the only place in Sanford still without power.
I work in the west side of Sanford and we never lost power there. It seemed like only the bad side of Sanford lost power. I hope you're not working in this humidity!
Ha! I wont comment on that, but I am very surprised you dont have power. Im right off Upsala. I really hope you get power soon.
