Lithuania will play Greece in the Round of 16, so they indeed have to focus. Looking forward to this game.

    Here's a huge EuroBasket fan...

Not a fan of Hartenstein. Can't see his game translates to the NBA.
I don't know why he insist to play in the G league rather than just play ball in Europe for another year or two.

It's easier to get noticed in the G-League where you're playing against scrubs. In Europe he might be warming the bench or might get completely neutralized against better players and better coached teams.

    Surprisingly Finland is an underdog.

At the end of Group Phase, DMo ranks

    #151 in Efficiency/gm
    #194 in Reb/gm with only 8 in 5 games.

    *woof*

And yes, the official stats are filtering for qualifying minutes.

More telling is for a starter, his minutes are really low. He ranks 7th most mpg for Lithuania for those who have played all 5 games, despite being a starter. And he ranks 9th in mpg for those who have played 4 games or more. And Sabonis isn't even on the team. Was he promised a starting position in order to play, but without deserving it?

He's not in shape after sitting out one season on the bench, but he converted on a 17/27 (63%) field goals in 5 games. Had a promising last game against Germany with 15 points. And he never was a good rebounder, so nothing's new.

    That's because of Messina.
Coaching in the European basketball is a big thing. It will be interesting to see how Markkenan manage to handle the traps and physicality of the Italian team.

I got an impression that you're a German guy.
Is there a way to watch Eurobasket on TV in Germany?
I'm sure German games will be broadcasted on TV, but what about Lithuania-Greece game?

He still rusty after playing in the NBA since January and Lithuanias been playing together with prep games since July? I've never heard someone use the excuse a bench player is rusty from being a bench player before.

    Nice one. Lulz

    That's kinda obvious ;)

No EuroBasket on German TV, only highlights. But if you're able to switch your proxy to German, check out https://www.telekomsport.de/basketball/eurobasket2017. They stream the whole knockout stage for free in good quality. Some games are called in English.

So, what's the point of bringing that up? Go burn some photos of DMo, maybe you'll feel better after all.

Spain, Slovenia, Latvia, Serbia are the only ones I'm fairly certain of. The rest could go either way.

@Raz I missed the first half, but judging from the boxscore not a great day for Schroder, only 6 points on 2/9 shooting. Is he struggling against France's length / athleticism, or are his shots just not falling? Germany needs him to step up. France is definitely beatable.

France is extremely physical and sometimes putting three defenders on him, but shot is also an issue (airballed a three etc). He's playing really good and keeping us in the game though.

How about Pau Gasol , just surpassed Tony Parker in scoring. He just became the best ever Euro player. Won all trophys , NBA , WC, EC, and with 3 pointer best scorer in EC.

Best ever Euro player? Nope. I would put him in my top5 though. Nowitzki has to be on the top.
