My 2 cents: I think Lavar Ball realizes LaMelo would be exposed in college and is trying to extract whatever money he can before that happens. Otherwise, it makes zero sense for him to sacrifice LeMelo's college eligibility. He knows Lonzo playing at UCLA is what created the Ball family circus in the first place.
