Interesting game. Watson and Foreman are clearly the future. Both have the "it" factor. Time, experience, repetitions are their friends. They are both going to be sooooo good.
Some thoughts: - Texans need Duane back and there is no going around it. We will get destroyed with Clark and Lamm as our bookends. - Savage is the safe bet. He's not going to set the world on fire but he'll make the safe throw everytime. - Foreman needs reps with the 1st team. He looked good and no reason he shouldn't running behind the 1st string OL. - Watson performed as expected. Had some accuracy issues but can plays both with his arms and legs. - Safety play was awful. So much talk about Bouye but Demps may be the bigger loss this season - Have no idea what the hell is going on with Special Teams.
@Bobbythegreat will argue otherwise. He's still the osweiler defender that throws his Pom poms up each time he completes a 3 yard pass. He's the greatest analyst I've ever seen
You do know that Osweiler isn't on the team anymore right? It would be great if I could just assume you know that much about the team and go on, but your comments call that into question.
I like it....don't blow the kids head up. He still has work to do. Make him feel like he has to earn it. All that bs false praise about savage is funny tho. BO'B is terrible poker player, i bet.
It'll be interesting to see how things wash out as the preseason goes on. We'll look to see Savage get the ball out quicker and be more like he was on the 3rd possession and not the first 2 and we'll look to see if Watson can be more consistent with his accuracy. If Watson can be a more accurate passer while in the pocket, he'll likely win the job. If he remains inconsistent, he'll likely get time to work on that before being put in.
Well I was pointed out to your outstanding knowledge on the Texans qb situation. That being said I was told to look at your defensive posts of osweiler last year. It was as sad as watching a bill o'Brien press conference on tomatoes
Had an engagement party so was just able to watch the replay. My god, that poise from DW... unlike anything I've ever seen around here as a rookie QB.
Can we leave the past where it belongs. In the past. Solid debut by Watson and Foreman. Blue's all around game was top notch. Showed he really wants to be in the mix and he's not about to let the rook push him down the peaking order. Cunningham was all over the place. After the first two drives Coach had to put in some plays to get Savage and that offense going. We're going to need Brown back asap. Offensive line has to perform better than that to start the game. These slow starts going to hurt us in several ways. I was really hoping the best from Nelson unfortunately I don't think he will make 53 man roster.
