[2017-2018] Jeremy Lin as a backup point guard on the Brooklyn Nets

Hope Russell does good because Lin fans will want Russell to be benched and would want Lin to start.

 

I hope Ding will be better than Jerry, although I dun like the Mavs.

 

lin is a scrub and mental midget. Cost us the Portland series with that selfish play at the end of that playoff game. Just call timeout or pass the ball. He wanted to be fouled and get points on the ft line.

 

? Nets have already said they intend to start Lin and Russell together. If they play well together, why would anybody want Russell to be benched?

Why cant he escape playing next to ball dominant non sturdy players that fool coaches into losing faith in lins talent?

 

Lin simply isn't good enough to escape that. He's a good player, but not nearly an all star player. He will have to be in a team has all the stars players in the front court, then that wouldn't be "his style". He fits in a team without a star player, with a bunch of good players with ball distribution, but how many teams out there are without star players or wiling to stay like that. Nets got raped trading with the Celtics, they simply don't have a choice. If Russel, a near bust 2nd year rookie is a threat to Lin, then he may as well just accept the backup role.

 

hopefully Russell breaks locker room protocol on Lin, and gets him on something insane. Like lot's of groupies or some silly religion thing. I'm not against Lin, but it'd certainly be more entertaining than the Nets bball team.

On a side note, I think cheating is wrong, but the way Russell handled it was absolutely stupid. Way to screw up trust with teammates and even hurt career. Obviously Young was stupid, but recording in the LR, WTF????!

Count Jeremy Lin as a player expecting to take advantage of a weakened Eastern Conference this upcoming NBA season.

During a recent visit to Taiwan, Lin said his Brooklyn Nets, who posted a league-worst 20-62 record last season and went 21-61 the year before, will extend their season beyond Game No. 82.

"We're making the playoffs," Lin said while answering questions from fans in an Instagram Live video. "I don't care what anybody else says to me."

 

Coaches have faith in Lin's talent, that's why they usually have him coming off the bench.

This, of course, would indicate that Jeremy Lin is not untouchable. Caris LeVert and D’Angelo Russell are the only “untouchable” Nets.
