That's true but at least we already have Harden under contract for more years, Westbrook can still bolt next summer. Houston means also more money, better city, better market...and he wants to play with Paul, or Lebron, not with Westbrook.
CP3 can bounce but he essentially chose us in Free Agency, and then forced a trade here so he can get more money. I don't think he'd leave after one year, esp considering we will actually be good.
At least CP3 has said he wants to be here past this year. CP3 never came out and said he wants to be anywhere else but Houston, hence why he came here. Has George said anything about resigning in OKC?
Not enough of a sparkle to OKC for Melo, I think Banana Boat is in full effect. No guarantee George stays another year, Melo could be stuck two years ...
Carmelo is basically under contract for 1 year as well (last year is a players option). So if he have a terrible time in OKC or if Westbrook & George leaves, it's not like he'll be stuck there.
Well I was concerned about Melo worrying about the downgrade in nightlife and lifestyle from NYC to Houston. But Jesus, Houston blows OKC and Cleveland out of the water.. I can just picture LaLa posted up at the Applebees throwing down on half priced apps.
I would think Melo would still prefer the Rockets over the Thunder. Granted, Chris Paul could bail after next season just as easily as Paul George, but I think there's a far better likelihood that he resigns here than George does in OKC.
LaLa and Melo are separated. But yeah, I can only imagine how horrendous OKC/Cleveland nightlife are.
