The only curse associated with it is the game itself. Every year it is hot garbage... and many times it is so bad, they don't even release it.

Westbrook was the last player on the cover and he won MVP. Now it's James Harden's time.

Game will probably be trash tho. 2K18 will be better.

Just looked at the gameplay for live and it sucks.

    Good for Harden though.

Live is trash, all you can do is hope theyre good because 2k needs competition. Theyre getting too greedy and lazy.

Nba live hasn't been good in years. Didn't they postpone the release of one of them years ago?

Westbrook was the cover athlete two years ago. The year he lost a 3-1 lead over the Warriors and Durant ended up leaving. They didn't release a game last year...

Which is exactly my point. The cover athlete isn't cursed, the game is. NBA Live is terrible. And often times it is so bad they don't even release it (like last year).

Brings me nostalgia for NBA Live 2004. I played the f*** out of that game on GameCube. It was just when I was getting heavy into the NBA and became a rockets fan. I remember FA signing being ridiculously easy. It was simple to create a super team in a few years, no semblance of a salary cap

I would usually either start a dynasty with houston or choose LA so I could trade Kobe/Shaq/Malone/Payton etc quickly for Yao, Tmac, etc....I specifically remember Mike Fratello's voice recording always raving about Steve Francis' vertical. Oh and Right Thurr by Chingy was on the soundtrack

    Man I loved that game...

Still got my SNES NBA Live 97. You could dunk from like the 3pt line and also tackle the crap out of players, insane realism.
