You mean like most every single coach that has that added income from the shoe companies when he has his players wear their particular brand.

Are you comparing Cecil Newton's alleged "pay for play" scandal to LaVar Ball's Big Baller Brand business?

No. But Lavar is still making money of his kids likeness. Isn't that against NCAA rules?

Can a kid sue a program for making jerseys in his name to sell or is that already in the contract?

I don't believe you can buy officially licensed college jerseys with names on them.

He would say what they don't want to admit and he has no filter!!he is pretty solid with what he says when you get down to the root of it. Not everything but about half is tom foolery and other half strategic genius.

Right, I'm sure you can get them with names added by a third party, but I don't think they're originally sold with names on them. At least not while they are in school. According to this article (possibly outdated since it was from 2015), they were headed towards not even being able to sell specific numbers that correlated to a star player.

Lavar making money off his kids? Oh I forgot only agents, shoe companies & teams are allowed to make $$$ off athletes. What gives a father the right to start a family business and generate his own income off his son that he's been with since day 1. The nerve

He's making money off of Lonzo Ball, who is in the NBA. He didn't bring up the Big Baller Brand until after the NCAA season. If he was making shoes for LaMelo or LiAngelo Ball then it would be a violation.
