Say Hello to Better Uniforms!

Green and Gold is stunning, i agree. But, it would just be wrong.

The team didn't have orange or blue in their color set. A lot of teams used to color the ball orange, and i don't know why they had a blue rocket, but the jerseys were just green and gold.




Red and Gold can look very nice if done correctly with a more metallic gold. Too Yellow and it becomes tacky. That's why i love our championship uniforms. They used yellow ONLY as an outline for the sleeves. That's it. No yellow outline on the wordmark or number fonts, no huge yellow side panels. You have to use it subtly. Those ****ing unfirorms were AMAZING. **** Les.

So ****ing clean.

 

can we say hello to the new owner first

 

Would we be able to sign Ronald McDonald if we went with those uniforms? Or maybe we could get the Hamburgler to come out of retirement. He used to really rack up the steals.

Possibly different uniforms. No guarantee they will be better. But, all this is way down the line.

Rocket Red and Desert Gold

Those were the original colors of the San Diego Rockets.

 

I'm fine with new uniforms but I'm praying we keep our logo. The only reason people liked the ketchup and mustard logo was because we won with it. Otherwise, it's one of the most boring logos in sports.

I'd actually take the old logo and font and appropriate it with our modern colours of red and silver.
That's what you call modernizing a classic.

Honestly, the ketchup and mustard was not a good colour combo (at least those shades). So many people think it's great because of the nostalgia of winning titles, but they were actually bad. Jersey sales were not very high which is proof they were objectively not very nice. That being said, the nostalgia effect would mean jersey sales a very high if they were brought back.

 

I'm partial to our black uniforms

 

Another option is taking our shark dildo uniforms and removing all the ugly elements, eg. get rid of pinstripes and thcartoon logo.

Project 34 made some great concepts in the past which were taking the old 96-04 uniform and simplifying it so it became very beautiful and didn't have the ketchup/mustard eyesore either.

I just checked his site, and he recently fused our new checkboard alternate style with the 96-04 uniforms. it's HOT.

 

What a cool way for the new ownership to win over the fan base. Take the championship jerseys and add a modern update to them. It's gotta happen, they'll make a ton of money.
