Well tomorrow is the 23rd, if he signs now he can't be traded this season - so let's see if all of us guessing about that being a factor got it right.

    Maybe he signs this week?

Varejao didn't sign a contract until December in 2007.

(Jesus, where did the years ago. I thought that was maybe 5-6 years ago)

Why does Yao look like an asian version of the guy who plays the new Capt. Kirk?

Yeah. And Hakeem looks as much like David Robinson as he does himself.

Dmo's Players Tribune article will be like:
On the first day of summer, I got a phone call from Trevor Ariza. He didn't want to talk about basketball, in fact he asked me to join him at a baseball game

    Let's do it.

    http://us.blastingnews.com/sports/2...cy-fits-for-donatas-motiejunas-001851189.html

Donatas Montiejunas remains a man without an #NBA home. After some strange contract disputes last year, he eventually made his way to the New Orleans Pelicans. He didn't play very much, though, receiving plenty of "DNPs" over the course of his tenure with the team. Back in free agencyfor the second time in as many years, there's a possibility that he flees the league altogether. Before that happens, here are four teams that could sign him in the coming weeks.

    [...]

    3. Houston Rockets
So perhaps this isn't going to happen - it would be quite awkward after the contract shenanigans of the previous year. If somehow the two sides can look past that, however, it would make some sense. The team is in need of some frontcourt depth after the Chris Paul trade. During the best season of his career, Montiejunas averaged 12 points and 5.9 rebounds per game in 2014-15...with the Rockets. Maybe Houston can help Montiejunasrecapture that magic.

Sign him for the minimum and only if he fires his agent. Jb or bj or whatever I don't even remember the name of his Agent.

But maybe too much drama so maybe no. I wouldn't mind though
Best of luck wherever u go Dmo!

He already fired his agent, or maybe his agent dumped him after played he like **** in NO and basically played his way out of a min contract. I have lost all respect for the dude after all thats rights BS they pulled last season.

Ain't no way. Don't want D-Mo anywhere near the Rockets at this point.

He should go back to Europe and stay there.

I would take Dmo back. I think he still could very good, especially compared to last year.

D-Mo would be an extra TRADE piece right now if he'da not held out LAST season. MDA woulda used him unlike the Pels. (Or he'd be a free agent due for a pay bump now, if he just signed the 1 year qualifying offer betting on himself with actual playing time on a contender)

In a way he's still kinda screwing the Rockets in the Melo and CP3 deals. Maybe you dangle D-Mo in the Melo dealing, Knicks accept or another 3rd team bites. Or add D-Mo in the CP3 trade, and maybe have OTHER unused assets like Dekker or Harrell still left for Melo. But thats hypothetical all things healthy and normal
