From what I saw in the Las Vegas League, I don't consider he is good enough to be in the NBA, Even though he is a tall player.Y
On a sidenote, I just realized "Donatas" backwards spells "Satan OD". Need I say more? I think not. And Onuaku hasn't shown me much, but send him back to the G-League and he'll be all-world.
Is Nanu's roster spot even more precarious at this point? After signing Black, Onuaku's position on the roster was already in doubt. Although they were both expected moves, after signing Troy and BB, we have 15 guaranteed players on the roster, with only Taylor and Brown as our insurance PGs behind CP3 and The Bearded One, an undersized backup 4, and a logjam at center. Paul, Taylor*, Brown Harden, Gordon Ariza, Tucker, Williams Anderson, Mbah a Moute, Qi Capela, Nene, Black, Onuaku How much would adding him onto Anderson's contract sweeten a trade compared to future picks? *Taylor's contract guaranteed only if he's on the roster for the first game of the season.
If he played above the level of even Tarik Black, he would sniff PT, but he's developing at a really slow pace and doesn't have enough juice to supplant Nene or Black, or even Qi.
Unfortunately, it is now fairly clear that the HUNGER is not there. For a second rounder, that is half the battle. Trade him for peanuts and use the roster spot for someone that wants it more than life itself.
I was thinking about that but 1-2 minutes of Royce White topped Onauku entire playing career. Talent wise, He shouldn’t have even been drafted.
I think we would have taken malcom brogdon instead of onuaku if he had not just been picked by Milwaukee 1 pick earlier.
If he does not have the fire. . . . i think we should cut bait. At that level hustle alone should get him some minutes He needs to focus on improvement I thought he had decent athleticism and movement Rocket River
