    He's Hollywood Woj now, too busy getting his makeup ready for air to get the scoops. It was fun while it lasted but ESPN and Woj clearly have a different style in mind. The days of him being miles before everyone appear, sadly over.

    Agreed, very overrated. He's not even a defensive wing. He has some defensive skills, but he's not some shut down guy just because he had a good defensive series against us.

    Man, I'd rather have Simmons than Carmelo on our squad. Ariza, Tucker, and Simmons would give us a lot of D-- maybe even enough perimeter D to compete with the GSW.

    There are two approaches this offseason.

    (A) "We are in an arm race. Let's stockpile as many stars as we can. World War III here we come!"

    (B) "We aren't gonna beat the Warriors this year. Let's stay low in the bunker and prepare for next year."

    Looks like the Spurs go for B, while the Rockets go for A.

    aldridge isnt going to opt out. but even if they all did thats only 60 mil in cap space. 80 million is the tax apron. If green opts out they have room for one player

    you could put the 5 best defensive players in the league out there and it still wouldnt stop GS from scoring

    reality is there isn't a realistic defensive team that can do that. you can only hope to limit and get stops when you need it and at the same time be able to score enough to give yourself a chance to get a W

    Keep in mind that SAS couldn't even pay him MLE money, since they gave it to Gay.

    So, MLE money might be enough. Who knows. Just saying that he isn't leaving SAS necessarily because he wants more than that, just saying that SAS can't even pay him that.

    Agree. I think Simmons can create, PJ can create a little bit, and Ariza-- well, Ariza can spot up in the corner. But all three can at least make GSW's shooters have to work a bit.
