What does that even mean? Rockets target, or do Spurs role players always get overvalued and overpayed?

Too bad Rockets have no room for him, he'd be great for us

Would love to have him but, we can't afford him most likely.

If Aldridge is moved or declines his player option along with Danny Green, Spurs will have around $80 Mil next year for free agency. They are obviously planning on a few guys to team up with Leonard and passing on this year.

I still think we try and sign him.

If I'm not mistaken, couldn't we cut the NG guys and use some of that for him. He would probably take less to play in hometown and for a contender.

Would probably have to do it before the melo trade though?

I hope he doesn't go to OKC. He was playing @ Fonde last night.

The guy has value though, why not sign him (if he can be had for a reasonable amount) and then move him next year if needed? Do they think he's going to not play up to his contract next year?

I'd love to add him...but there's no way I'd advise him to take less to go anywhere. This is his first big contract, and he's not every guaranteed to have another.

first potential big contract and could be his last. he isn't some young project. hes going to be 28 this coming season. I would hope he would be smart enough to get the most he can after the work he put in just to get to this stage

We are over the cap. We would have to get SAS to agree to a sign & trade If I am not mistaken.

    (Basically it isn't happening)

I think the biggest take away from this is that the Spurs are getting weaker, at least for a season.

Let's just hope he goes to the East.

why would the Spurs pull the QO? If he gets an absurd offer just don't match it. ?????

I think the Spurs love Bryn Forbes and feel they something in him.

We aren't over the 125 yet right? So still possible but just unlikely that he wants to play for cheap

Simmons can absolutely ball. We gotta at least look into it.
