    Frank Isola on SC: He doesn't have a lot of value right now. I'd hang onto him & see in February. Why not let him get his value up? Don't take back Ryan Anderson. If I'm the Knicks, he's still my best player. I can't take back bigger contracts. It has to be expiring contracts or young players.

    I think the only untouchable here is Capela. I'm starting to get the feeling that either Ariza or Ego will be involved. Certainly not both. There is a reason the deal is taking so long...

    Yeaaaa..... no..... if this is indeed true... then look for Rockets to give up more than just Anderson and picks.... God I hope it's Ariza before it's Gordon.

    You can expect the other teams to give up young talent and picks and all you are contributing is toxic waste anderson and a high 20s 1st and a few seconds.

    Dream scenario is that we only give those things up. But I highly doubt it.

    The only thing I'm more exited about, besides the obvious that Melo has a good chance to land here, is that we don't have to have 1993429657 different random dumb threads about Melo once this deal happens.

    I can only hope.

    With Tucker, I can stomach losing Ariza. It would hurt, but I could handle it. Gordon, though, no-can-do. We need a bench of some kind.

    I think according some reads that something like this is the situation:
    NY doesnt want RA
    Portland want to take him if they can unload Harkless and Leonard
    Harkless will go to NY but they dont want Leonard. Houston doesnt want Leonard either.
    If they found a 4th team how takes Leonard and give a short contract, Houston will take it.

    I think the opposite. If the Rockets were willing to deal Ariza and/or Gordon, this would have been done sooner. The fact that it keeps expanding tells me the Rockets have a hard line against trading Ego/Ariza.

    Seems like Morey is being stubborn, knowing he has leverage and that NY would like to use the cap space they will gain from a Melo trade.

    My guess is that Morey has drawn the line in the sand at Anderson + NGs, to go along with one 1st round pick or two 2nd round picks.
