If I'm not wrong his extension will kick in when he's 30 and will continue until he's 34.

FWIW, Harden's projected value over the next 5 seasons. Looks like the final 2 seasons would be an overpay, but even then not by much. Of course, much depends on health and future salary cap situation. A good bet to place.
