Exactly. ESPN should use him simply to break the news and get the first scoop. Have an ESPN Breaking News alert linked to his twitter that simultaneously delivers an "ESPN(TM) WOJ BOMB" across all their networks.

WOJ was never a on-air personality type. It distracts him from his real core competency. Look at how he got out-scooped by Ramona on the Paul George trade the night WOJ was supposed to have his grand debut on ESPN.

Woj has never been very good at basketball analysis. And he tends to have an vindictive attitude towards players he doesn't like.

He is only useful in breaking news. ESPN should just let him concentrate in doing that if they are smart. (I know putting ESPN and smart in the same sentence is not very smart. :p)

ESPN will ruin/misuse Woj the same way they ruined Simmons for a little while. Luckily, I think Simmons has rebounded and refocused on what he's good at (writing and podcasts). That's not even an insult - to be good on TV, you have to be able to reach the most casual of fans, and I think he's just better when his audience is comprised of the more hardcore fans.

And they make sure they bring that up every time CP3 is mentioned. It's probably why Woj hasn't cracked a smile on the Jump yet.

Yep. Simmons was brilliant on Page 2 with his sly wit and deep sports and pop culture references. His mailbag rundown alone was worth the clicks.

Unfortunately, ESPN decided to milk his cult following by putting him on air and letting him speak whatever came to mind, which turned out be a sharp criticism of the NFL -- a broadcasting partner of ESPN.

    Breh, you ain't lying.
About once in 2 or 3 months does one actually find an interesting and worthwhile article on The Ringer...despite the fact they trot out about 100 pieces every day. Quantity not quality. That's where The Ringer has failed.

if Shams breaks the story of DMo signing the league's first two-way deal, then I'll have to admit he's made Woj obsolete.

Woj vs. Sham is the best NBA rivalry since Bird vs. Magic

No chance ESPN makes an unbiased 30 for 30 on it...

Charania just reported the $57mil deal, Woj reports the $24mil. Woj is clearly going downhill.
