Based on something I read a month or two ago, the games are played live Sunday, and then will be broadcast on Mondays(?). EDIT: Games will be broadcast on Mondays, the day after the games are played. Coverage will begin at 8 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1. You can also stream online or with the Fox Sports Go app. https://www.seccountry.com/sec/big3-league-updates-rosters-schedules-tv-times-watch-online
I hope they don't edit the games in a way to make a story. They couldn't do this stuff live? I'm impressed with the turn out in those tweets
Yeah I'm curious as to how they'll edit it. I really hope it's not fake or exaggerated; I hate "sports" that are scripted like that. I'll have to record it Monday night and watch it later, since I'll be watching Raw on Monday night.
I've read up on the rules. It's crazy. There's a 4 point shot, free-throws are worth 2 points, team fouls but no personal fouls, etc. At any rate - the games aren't "timed". First to 30 = half-time, first to 60 = win, win by 2. I think the variability is the reason for the tape delay. You could have a 30 minute or 2 hour game (hypothetically). Hard for a network to schedule around that. I was just browsing the Big 3 Facebook page and people are b****ing to no end about the tape delay. I just hope it's fun to watch. It was smart to have it during summer when sports are few and far between.
pretty sad state for the NBA when I'm more intersted in this than the finals... why couldn't this be live though?
I think it will be competitive. Share of the revenues will be decided based on the teams' standing at the end of short season.
Judging by the defense in that Cuttino passing highlight, the actual gameplay will NOT be competitive and us Americans are destined to get smoked in this OLYMPIC sport.
A s**t load of people in the stands, were they giving away tickets? If the fans had to pay, Big3 was BIG.
See my post a few posts before: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/big3-league.280944/page-2#post-11158111 The games vary in length. They're not based on time, but first to 60.
Yeah - Big 3 posted this photo on Facebook. More than any other sport, NBA fans follow players more than teams. (Same reason people are actually trying to defend the Kevin Durant to Golden State thing). These are a lot of people's favorite players from the early/mid 2000's. Nostalgia is a helluva drug! Really interested to catch some tonight and see how entertaining it is (or not).
