Alvin gentry must be a awesome guy. He's 399-470 coaching record over 14 seasons, been fired 3 times, and has been to the playoffs 2 times.

Yet everyone seems to think he's a great coach in waiting.

 

Finch is a quality coach. Good for him.

 

I think Finch was coach of RGVipers for a while. I remember he won a championship 1 year with 3 or 4 of his starters pulled up to the NBA.

 

I remember getting into it with some moron from ESPN on Twitter about the Gentry hiring by the Pelicans a few years ago. Who cares if he was on Kerr's staff that had just won the title? His record as head coach is a joke save for one season in Phoenix. And you could argue D'Antoni had paved the way for his brief success there.

 

When he gets fired by the Pels, the Kings will hire him right away.

 

Denver had a great offense this year, didn't realize Finch was their OC. I have a feeling he could have done better here if not for Dwight.
