but klay's a better two-way player than harden so whats the deal here? he abuses the rule book, cant play defense, klay's a better player, and he's first team all nba? sum ting wong here
Who the **** gives a damn about what happened last year? For Anthony Davis? I simply don't care about what went down last year because well, it was last year. In case you haven't noticed, the calendar says 2017 not 2016. Harden getting All-NBA honors last year does not make what happened last year in the playoffs any easier to swallow AFAIK. As for basketball legacy, that's just the nature of the beast. If you want your legacy to amount to something - to get that ring - then you make your rep in the playoffs. It's always been that way in the NBA and it's something a player accepts when he steps onto the court. Unfortunately for Harden, his "legacy" is looking pretty shaky right now because all folks will be bringing up next season is his flame out in this year's playoffs. Again, that's the nature of the beast and Harden only has himself to blame for this. And the only way Harden can redeem himself and his "legacy" is to elevate his game when it counts: during the playoffs.
If James Harden is judged on a double standard that others do not receive, then that isn't just a "well it is what it is". It's unfair.
Lol max bashes harden for playoffs while simultaneously praising davis? Saying davis is 2nd best??? Saying davis loses because bad teammates? Harden took gordon/anderson way further
Another cute Harden bashing scenario making the circle in the Harden hate jerk off groups in the media is that the Rockets go as far as Harden takes them when they fail, but when the Rockets were firing on all cylinders it was the the "stacked team" but when things go wrong it's all on Harden.
Wait, I thought these type of awards were supposed to be announced during TNT's fancy new NBA award show later this summer?
The only "double standard" that exists is in your head. Harden is being judged correctly. He wanted to be "The Man" so he left OKC for Houston. Well, he got his wish. He didn't want to share the limelight with Dwight Howard and that wish, too, was granted. He wanted to be the face of the franchise and that's him. So when Houston fans, the media and everyone else look at Harden and expect him to not only to perform at a high level but to excel, well then that's what comes with the territory. To quote Jimmy Johnson: "If you're gonna talk the talk - you better walk the walk".
This is a strange post. Lotta stuff that is largely meaningless. When has James Harden not excelled in Houston? He's been one of the best players in basketball for 5 years now.
Good for Beard. He deserves it. His playoff performance has been suspect, but I enjoyed almost every game during regular season. Thank you Mr. James Harden. Don't let all the BSers bother you, have a little vaca, then get to the gym & get better for us & yourself. And if you ever go in another strip bar go in the dressing room & let the BriteLite show you the truth. There are some things you can't unsee. I know I was a nipple rancher for 3 years.
