It's not Harden's fault team owner decides to shut it down. Although obvious throwing the game might have illegal implications if proven so.
I was incredibly depressed by the game 6 loss. My wife is a freakin Spurs fan, from San Antonio, and even she felt bad for me! But if you follow sports, and your team is consistently good enough to make the post season, you're going to have heartbreaking losses. It comes with the territory. Only one team wins the championship and when the post season starts everybody thinks their team has a chance to be the one. Harden played bad the final 5 1/2 quarters. The whole team played bad the final 5 1/2 quarters. It happens. It breaks everyone's heart but it happens. Harden has already lead the Rockets to a WCF, so he's already proven that. He has Finals experience from when he was in OKC. All of this will only help him and the team in the future. Every great player gets criticized for not being "clutch" until they win a title (and even then, it never really seems to stop. Go google "Durant isn't clutch" and here is a selection of the top 5 results: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...ant-get-a-free-pass-for-failing-in-the-clutch http://www.goldenstateofmind.com/20...urant-oklahoma-city-thunder-clutch-statistics Go google "Lebron isn't clutch" and here is a selection of the top 5 results: http://www.foxsports.com/nba/story/...clutch-shooting-awful-airball-5-for-47-022916 http://www.espn.com/blog/marc-stein/post/_/id/4396/clutch-shots-are-tough-just-ask-lebron-james http://blacksportsonline.com/home/2...ning-tying-shot-fg-in-nba-over-last-10-years/ When you have a James Harden, your team has a chance at a title. When you don't have a James Harden, your team has no chance at a title. Usually, you need 2+ James Harden's before your chances of a title become more than a punchers chance.
Corny response by one those idiots. Esp since half those guys didn't even make it past the first round. And two of those played in the measly Leastern conference. And the last one plays on an All star team. Nice try though pal.
He was the best player on a WCF team that featured such rotation standouts as Pablo Prigioni, Jason Terry, Josh Smith, Terrance Jones, and Corey Brewer. He put up 27.2 ppg - 7.5 apg - 5.7 rpg in that years playoffs. But for some reason that doesn't count?
how convenient you leave out someone that's no longer on the team. say what you want about that guy but he without a doubt showed up in the playoffs in that time and was a huge reason for that run. So again, no harden didn't clear cut lead them, so forgive me if i don't see that he's "proven" like you want to believe. And do you need a reminder when the rockets were in their toughest spot with their backs against the wall, yet someone was on the bench. very good player yeah but still has a ways, when it comes to the postseason
Why would Butler/Hayward want to assume the Ariza role of guarding the opponent's best SG/SF while deferring to Harden offensively? Neither Milsap nor Griffin are stretch 4's. We acquired Anderson b/c we specifically wanted a stretch 4.
Exactly, and if he doesn't take this next step, it will be on MDA and certainly on Morey to bring a tough disciplined winner guy , think Garnett when traded to Boston
Classic response by one of these make excuses for Harden morons. Lol. You keep making excuses and enjoying those regular season awards.
Harden showed the willingness to share the ball with Eric Gordon so i'm sure he can share it with Gordon or Jimmy. He played with Durant and Westi so sharing the ball duties is not a foreign concept.
Dwight Howard put up 16.4 ppg - 14.0 rpg - and 1.2 apg in that years playoffs. He and Ariza were the only other members of the rotation that year. They both played well. They both played like they could be a part of a championship rotation. Our game 6 run against the Clips was made with Harden sitting out. Our bench got hot and we rode them all the way to victory. I remember. It was a hell of a ride. Harden was the best player on the team that year. That team went to the WCF. That tells me something.
