Rockets’ James Harden reportedly being sued over assault and robbery of Moses Malone Jr.

James Harden may be in some trouble.

The Rockets guard is reportedly being sued by Moses Malone Jr. and accused construing a plan to assault and rob the son of the basketball Hall of Famer, according to an Instagram post from FOX 26 reporter Isiah Carey in Houston.

The reported lawsuit comes just days after Harden’s uncharacteristically awful performance in a Game 7 loss to the Spurs, which the MVP candidate scored only 10 points, shooting just 2-for-11 from the field and 2-of-9 from three-point range.

Malone alleges Harden paid a group of people $20,000 in cash to assault and rob him at Houston’s V Live Vintage Steakhouse, a strip club, on June 25 last year, the report says.

Harden and Malone are both frequent customers of the club, according to multiple reports.

Malone reportedly told police he was followed outside the club by a group of men who confronted him over a Facebook post he made criticizing the Rockets guard for charging children for his basketball camp.

Malone told police he was robbed at gunpoint of his car keys, jewelry and cash.

Since the incident, four men have been arrested and criminally charged for their role in the assault.

Harden was subpeonaed in November but nothing has surfaced to warrant any arrest.

....he didn't say, "go get Moses Malone" - he said "go get me some more cologne". People smell funky after spending a lot of time at a strip club.

Statement from Rusty Hardin, who is James' attorney:

"I am in Boston for depositions so I haven't seen the petition but I have previously discussed Moses' allegations with James and others, and I am totally comfortable that the allegations are untrue. Unfortunately, I am afraid this is just another example of people shopping for a deep pocket when they find that the people actually responsible have no money."

I just want to be on the first page just in case it turns out a couple months down the line Harden was in fact the leader in a grand larceny scheme.

Confidence at zero for James Harden. What a time to be alive.

Didn't Hardin once get Alston off after he stabbed someone in the neck or something like that?

Ha Harden hires Rusty Hardin to represent him... Those court side seats are paying for themselves for Rusty (Rusty has courtside seats right on the floor and never misses game)

Alberto Ebanks? I think Hardin did rep him for a DWI case (not guilty).

Rusty will get him out of this.

Although I know @DreamShook & others are probably hoping Harden is found guilty, is thrown in prison & the key is thrown away, never to be heard from again.

"Get that fraud in jail! Maybe he'll think about game five & game six in there, along with what he did to Moses Jr.. Hallelujah, Hallelujah, justice was served!"

Although I'm extremly disappointed and I don't trust James Harden, I don't think it's fair to refer to me by name as part of this neo Harden hating club.

I don't think Harden should be traded
I think the Rockets should give him a $200 million extension
I think Harden is one of the most talented players to ever play for the Houston Rockets
I don't want Harden locked up

I just don't trust James Harden enough to give him the benefit of the doubt on anything
