Harden is a good player but not a leader. He is not a vocal or lead by example player. If you were Morey, what would you do?

I think we all know that Morey would be happiest if he resigned and bought up a few whataburger franchises.

Yes. We need to do everything possible to keep this guy forever. He will get it done eventually.

I don't know about you guys, but I sure as hell don't want to relive the mediocrity treadmill of 2009-2012. Harden is flawed but hes our guy and we need to stand behind him.

People act like ditching Harden means we land some GOAT superstar in the draft or that Morey will turn our pieces into a stacked superteam with superstars everywhere.

    STOP.

Harden is the key to a championship. If it's possible, it'll be through him. Maybe it won't be possible, maybe he strikes out every season and retires. But I'm sure as hell not going to bankrupt that chance by trading him for a few picks and filler trash players.

Almost no superstar is perfect. While his game 6 performance was one of the worst performances I've seen from a superstar, we can't let one game erase everything else he's done for this franchise. Keep him as long as possible. The rockets need him.

This kinda reminds me of Cowboys fans and Tony Romo. You've gotta be an idiot if you think you're gonna be any better without your best player. Cowboys did hit the jackpot with Dak though.

No superstar is perfect, but how many of them have weaknesses as obvious and exploitable as Harden?

I'd much rather build around a physically gifted player, even if that means tanking for draft picks.

There just aren't many players that don't have an obvious weakness. That list includes: Lebron. Everyone else has major weaknesses (Curry on d, Kawhi can't create, Shaq and his free throws, etc.)

im sure if you give him another 50-100 years he'll snap out of his mental midget mentality. he might be dead by then but still, worth a shot. better than trading him and ryan for a bunch of good roleplayers and picks to retool with then be a top team when the 2 big dogs of today's league get old

    Harden isn't a "superstar". He's a good player though.

This is easy. Extend Harden and hope for the best.

Look at teams like the Suns, Nets, Magic, Mavs etc. You'd think they have a guy of Harden's caliber if it were this easy to acquire a talent like that. Harden might be flawed, but Rockets fans just need to suck it up and learn to accept those flaws. Because you aren't getting another guy like him any time soon. You might prefer LeBron or Kawhi over Harden, but guess what - nobody gives a **** who you prefer. You have Harden, deal with it.

Or you can try becoming another Hawks/Raptors and be a threadmill team without any superstars...

Damn, this place is depressing. Yes, you've got to max out Harden. Do everything you can to keep him.

Curry's defense isn't remotely close to being a major weakness, and Leonard plays so much iso-ball that it's crazy to think he can't create.

The elite guys don't have weaknesses. Lebron, Curry, Leonard, and Durant all don't have weaknesses. Even lesser guys like Jimmy Butler, Chris Paul, and Hayward arguably have complete games.

Lots of star players have weaknesses, but its generally 1 weakness that can be mitigated by their physical gifts. For instance, John Wall isn't a strong perimeter shooter, but he's explosive enough to get to the rim whenever he wants.

Unfortunately, Harden has multiple weaknesses, and he can't compensate for them b/c he's not physically gifted and doesn't have the discipline and dedication to improve his skills (like Curry).

You have a weird definition of a word superstar sir. Who are the superstars to you in today's league?
