Calvin Watkins let go by ESPN

Best of luck Calvin. Some of you guys are wayyyyy to harsh on this dude. I did't have a problem with him at all. I thought the most insightful piece he wrote was the article that Harden chose not to ride on team bus during the 2016 NBA playoffs. I remember Calvin tweeting that Ty Lawson mentioned coach mchale says one thing and the team on the court will be doing the exact opposite. Stuff like that is very useful to the average fan who does not see the behind the scenes. So great job Calvin and i wish you the best.

No matter how you feel about someone, in the end, it's business and he wasn't bringing enough value to ESPN to keep him on payroll. Sucks, but he'll find work.

 

Sometimes he would tweet stuf like "rockets win, pull it out in final couple minutes, and then acted like they just won the championship"

Man, I don't like to think people are being disingenuous when they are rooting for the Rockets, but this is some suspicious stuff. Calvin has tweeted some grimy stuff about the Rockets in the past. All of sudden we getting these tweets? Sorry Calvin lost his job, but I don't trust him!

I'm starting to wonder about you @Mathrocker ! First you defend Kawhi's flagrant 6 steps in the paint and equate it to Harden's euro step and ability to draw fouls. NOW you're defending Watkins and comparing him to theRockets fan base..
