Love this pick - but getting nervous about the RT position. Two 4th rounders so perhaps they pull off a trade and move up for Davenport or Johnson.
why do all these highlight videos have to have this shitty rap music playing? I don't like watching on mute.
So who would you have preferred picking Cam Robinson at 1-25 when he was really a 2nd round pick? Antonio Garcia in the 2nd even though he is NOT a 2nd rounder? The 3rd round is way too high for Davenport or whoever else you might be thinking of. Plus Foreman is very good at run blocking.
Texans' o line has a major tackle hole for next year. Generally by round three you are looking at guys a year or two away from being ready. If they had drafted a tackle today, Im pretty sure they'd still have been looking at finding a stopgap for at least next year.
I realize this wasn't a pick to address a position of need, but I love what the Texans did tonight by getting value picks and guys who can have an immediate, lasting impact on this football team. As a UT alum, obviously I'm a Foreman fan and am a little biased. But I freaking love the guy. "Quit" just isn't in his vocabulary, and the Texans really do have a need for someone like him who can run north and south and through tacklers up the middle. For once, I actually feel like Rick Smith is trying to really nail some of these picks in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
I wish the Texans wouldn't have reached/given up next year's first for Watson. A little patience, and they could have grabbed Peppers @ 25 ...and then a move up in the second could have landed Cam...all the while keeping our first rounder for now.
