    It is my opinion that he had a lot to do with the narrative last year against the team. I thought he was a little more favorable this season to the Rockets and thought that for the most part this season he was decent.

    This, in spite of what a lot of clutchfans may believe, is not a good thing. Watkins at least gave us a little national visibility. Losing him hurts that. Remember, not all clutchfans (myself and @topfive included) have the good fortune of living in Houston and rely on networks like ESPN.

    Agree he's been much better this season. I'd just started to unravel my dislike for him, so this is unfortunate.

    They're letting around 100 people go effective immediately. I don't think ESPN(or Disney to be more precise) really cares how it impacts any current sports coverage.

    He was fired for cause, as he recently made favorable comments pertaining to the Rockets, contrary to internal ESPN policy.

    Damnit. This totally sucks. Calvin is a great guy. This guy is NOT anti-Rockets. The joke that he was a Mavs fan (he's not) is one we ran with together all year. Just crushed to hear this. I'm really going to miss him at the games.
